Landlord must pay $1,500 to former tenants

Campus area residents won a drawn-out lease dispute case last week involving one of the area’s most prominent landlords. The Feb. 22 decision stemmed from a lawsuit from plaintiff Jack Beatley of Locations, Ltd., who contended that the defendants Todd Delehanty, Christopher Caswell and Kevin Demis breached their lease’s contract by refusing to move to a 183 E. Frambes residence. Magistrate Skeens of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas ruled in favor of the defendants. Full Story
