Patriot Act renewal stirs up controversy
To the Editor: Ever the bastion of controversy, the Patriot Act is making news once again. Last Thursday, the Senate Intelligence Committee passed S. 1266 that would renew all parts of the original Patriot Act that are set to “sunset,” or expire on Dec. 31, including making many parts permanent.
