I listen to Bulldog football games online and he is a walking Truman history book. Love to hear his stories about games. He seems to remember details going way back. Great article!
I have known Hank since the early seventies he saved the peach section of the Des Moines register for years he was at every sporting event and knew all of the athletes on campus. I even remember a time when a young Eric Holmes and myself were able to attend a Hawkeyes football game because Hank's dad was able to get tickets for us cheap...I guess he was a sports nut too and attended every Iowa football game for many years...It is great to hear that Hank is still in Kirksville and still involved with Bulldog Athletics
They threw away the mold when the good lord brought Henry into this world. He is a legend and a one of the greatest people I have ever encountered. The guy is priceless! Henry, thanks for the friendship and everything that you have done for the university.
As with Fred, I have know Henry from the 70's and the Peach was always at hand. After 25 years I have "re-engaged" with the basketball office and every year make a visit to K'ville to "catch up" with Hank and visit about the late 70's. While every college may have one, we have one of the very best in Hank..... Do the years (which there were many) of his college classes provide the foundation for the decades of service? Only Hank knows!!!
