The Index welcomes letters to the editor from the University community. This page is open to any member of the community who wishes to express an opinion about any topic. Letters to the editor are due by noon on the Monday before publication and become property of the Index. Submissions are subject to editing, must contain a well-developed theme and cannot exceed 500 words. (Editor’s note: Letters are allowed to exceed the 500-word limit at the discretion of the Editorial Board.)
All letters to the editor MUST be typed, signed, and include a phone number for verification.
Letters to the editor may be submitted by clicking on "Letter to the Editor" along the left menu of the Web site. Include the words “letter to the editor” in the subject line. No more than one letter per week may be submitted.
