Jack Schrader, men's basketball head coach, has resigned after 16 seasons.

Schrader finishes his career with a 165-274 (.376) overall record and an 85-203 (.295) record in the MIAA. He led the Bulldogs to two NCAA tournament appearances, reaching the Final Four in 1998-1999, and is a two-time MIAA Coach of the Year.

The team finished this season 7-19 overall and 5-17 in the conference with a senior-laden squad. It was the team's best record since 2006-07 despite finishing 11th in the MIAA and four games out of  the conference tournament.

"We're evaluating what we're trying to do to get this turned around," Athletic Director Jerry Wollmering told the Index earlier this week. "I don't think anybody would argue that we want our men's basketball program to be successful on the court."

The Index will have extended coverage in Thursday's edition.
