A former Kirksville resident was indicted on charges of possession of child pornography by a federal grand jury Jan. 13.
Twenty-year-old Alexander Ferguson will face one felony count in federal court early next week for possession of child pornography between March 17 and April 19 2011, according to the United States Attorney's Office.
If convicted, it could mean a maximum of 10 years in prison and/or fines of up to $250,000, according to the attorney's office.
The Kirksville Office of the FBI and the Kirksville Police Department investigated the case before it was turned over to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
